     The Firearms Training Division offers NRA Instructor certification training.  We take pride in doing things the NRA way and we like to help our students promote their classes.  If you have always wanted to become an NRA Instructor then you have come to the right place.

To qualify as an NRA Instructor:

  1. Candidates must possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills acquired through previous firearm training and/or previous shooting experience. Instructor candidates must be intimately familiar with each action type in the discipline they wish to be certified.
  2. Candidates will be required to demonstrate solid and safe firearms handling skills required to be successful during an instructor training course by completing pre-course questionnaires and assessment exercises administered by the NRA Appointed Training Counselor.
  3. Candidates must satisfactorily complete an NRA Instructor Training Course in the discipline they wish to teach (e.g., NRA Basic Pistol Course), and receive the endorsement of the NRA Training Counselor conducting that training.

     This is the required class before participating in any NRA Instructor classes.

Range Safety Officer

     This class helps our instructors to prepare for utilizing range facilities during their instructing careers and we believe it is part of a good teaching foundation.

NRA Home Firearm Safety Course

     Teaching firearm safety is a vital part of our responsibility as instructors.  By becoming certified in teaching this course you can do your part in helping the shooting community stay safe and respectable.

NRA Shooting Instructor (Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun)

     By learning how to teach the basics of these three disciplines, we can keep the passion for shooting sports alive for generations to come. 
 
NRA Basic Reloading Instructor

     In the recent wake of ammunition shortages many people have turned to reloading as a way of saving money without forfeiting the fun of shooting.  With this new influx of re-loaders comes certain risks and by learning how to instruct these disciplines you can help to reduce the amount of accidents.

Basic Muzzle Loading Shooting (Pistol, Rifle & Shotgun)
